Description
October 2026 Weekday Open Houses:
Join us for a Weekday Open House and experience Minnesota State University, Mankato in action! This event is a great opportunity to explore campus, learn more about the admission process and get a firsthand look at what it’s like to be a Maverick.
During the event, you’ll learn about choosing a major, paying for college, living on campus, transferring credits and planning for your future. You’ll also hear directly from current students during a student panel, connect with campus resources and explore campus on a student-led tour. Along the way, you’ll get a feel for campus life and pick up helpful tips as you prepare for college.
Both morning and afternoon sessions include the same information, choose the time that works best for you!
Morning Session:
- 9:30am - 10:00am: Check-In
- 10:00am - 10:45am: Information Session & Student Panel
- 10:45am - 12:00pm: Campus Tour
- 12:00pm - 1:00pm: Campus Resource Fair
Afternoon Session:
- 12:00pm - 1:00pm: Check-In & Campus Resource Fair
- 1:00pm - 1:45pm: Information Session & Student Panel
- 1:45pm - 3:00pm: Campus Tour

- Can I bring my parents or family members?
Absolutely! We’d love to have your family join you. Each student may bring up to two guests to the event. If you’d like to bring additional guests, please reach out to our office. We’re always happy to accommodate additional guests when space is available.
Bringing a sibling, friend or another student who is interested in attending Minnesota State Mankato? They should register separately so we can make sure we have information for them when you arrive.
- What is the resource fair?
The resource fair is a chance to meet with experts from departments and programs across campus, all in one place! You can stop by different tables, ask questions and learn more about the resources and opportunities available to you as a Maverick.
You’ll have the opportunity to connect with areas like Residential Life, Learning Communities, academic colleges, Campus Recreation and more. It’s a great way to get answers to your questions and discover what campus has to offer.
- Who should attend the Weekday Open House?
Anyone who’s interested in Minnesota State Mankato is welcome! Whether you’re just starting to explore your college options, haven’t applied yet, or have been admitted, the Weekday Open House is a great opportunity to learn more about campus and the Maverick experience. The event is open to both first-year and transfer students.
Already attended a Weekday Campus Tour or Saturday Open House? The Weekday Open House includes some of the same campus tour experience, so keep that in mind when deciding which event is right for you. The October Weekday Open Houses also includes a student panel and campus resource fair to give you additional opportunities to learn about Minnesota State Mankato different from a "regular" Weekday Campus Tour. Please note, the October Weekday Open Houses do not include lunch.
- Is this event for first-year students, transfer students or both?
Both! Our Weekday Open House is designed for both first-year and transfer students who are interested in learning more about Minnesota State Mankato. Whether you're exploring college for the first time or planning to transfer from another school, you'll have opportunities to learn about admissions, academics, campus life, transferring credits and resources available to you.
