Description
Saturday Open Houses:
Join us for a Saturday Open House at Minnesota State Mankato!
Whether you’re a new student exploring college for the first time or a transfer student looking for the right place to continue your education, this is a great opportunity to get to know Minnesota State University, Mankato!
Open Houses include a campus resource fair, admissions information session, current student panel, campus tour, and lunch in the University Dining Center.
Schedule of events:
- 9:00am* - 10:00am: Check-In & Campus Resource Fair
- 10:00am - 10:45am: Information Session & Student Panel
- 10:45am - 12:00pm: Campus Tour
- 12:00pm - 1:00pm: Lunch at the University Dining Center
October 17th Attendees: Please plan to arrive no earlier than 9:15 am to allow Mankato Marathon traffic to clear. We’ll also send you an email the week before the event with additional information about road closures, parking and getting to campus.

Free Athletic Event Tickets: Open House visitors attending the dates below can receive free tickets to select Maverick athletic events.

- Can I bring my parents or family members?
Absolutely! We’d love to have your family join you. Each student may bring up to two guests to the event. If you’d like to bring additional guests, please reach out to our office. We’re always happy to accommodate additional guests when space is available.
Bringing a sibling, friend or another student who is interested in attending Minnesota State Mankato? They should register separately so we can make sure we have information for them when you arrive.
- What is the resource fair?
The resource fair is a chance to meet with experts from departments and programs across campus, all in one place! You can stop by different tables, ask questions and learn more about the resources and opportunities available to you as a Maverick.
You’ll have the opportunity to connect with areas like Residential Life, Learning Communities, academic colleges, Campus Recreation and more. It’s a great way to get answers to your questions and discover what campus has to offer.
- Who should attend an Open House?
Anyone who’s interested in Minnesota State Mankato is welcome! Whether you’re just starting to explore your college options, haven’t applied yet, or have been admitted, Open Houses are a great opportunity to learn more about campus and the Maverick experience. The event is open to both first-year and transfer students.
Already attended a "regular" Weekday Campus Tour? The Open House includes a similar campus tour, plus a student panel, campus resource fair and lunch in the University Dining Center for additional opportunities to explore Minnesota State Mankato.

Both! Our Open Houses are designed for both first-year and transfer students who are interested in learning more about Minnesota State Mankato. Whether you're exploring college for the first time or planning to transfer from another school, you'll have opportunities to learn about admissions, academics, campus life, transferring credits and resources available to you.
